of friends because Jem slowly becomes an adult, but then they grow back together again. They do this just like any other group of brothers and sisters do. After a while they realize that they miss each other they start to gain back their friendship as brother and sister. From this novel the reader will learn that even though some one grows up does not mean that they still can not act like a kid.
