Databases in my organization The Research and Development department of Vistakon is lacking a database at this time. We currently use Microsoft excel exclusively to organize all of the thousands of protocols we do every week. Thus, creating large-scale problems, in return making it difficult to find files. A query would gather the required data, and a report would display it in an easy-to-read format. These are all reasons that I feel my organization should implement a database system. Even a simple system such as Microsoft Access would help solve many of the problems that we have encountered over the years, without the expense of a complex Oracle based system.
