…showed last 75 words of 505 total…doesn't show exactly how horrible the apartheid really was. It almost seems like the book closes its eyes to the actual horrors of apartheid. And I'm sure there is a plethora of books out there that paint a better picture of apartheid. Waiting for the Rain has a good storyline, but it could have been carried through a little bit better. For these reasons I would not recommend Waiting for the Rain, by Sheila Gordon.
