People's livelihoods were at stake. As a head of the corporation she had the moral and ethical responsibilities of everyone on her shoulders. The fall of Enron affected countless retirement accounts and stock shares. These were monies that people based their futures on. In which case, someone needed to blow the whistle and as a corporate head, she had the credentials to do it.
