Witch Hunts
Throughout history there have been many instances where a group of people have been singled out for discrimination. The Salem Witch Trials, The Holocaust, and McCarthy's witch-hunt are just a few examples of such prejudice. Arthur Miller's The Crucible used the story of the Salem Witch Trials to point out the injustices of the anti-Communism movement of the early 1950s.

over the world. Witch-hunts will probably continue to occur because many people are ignorant and fall prey to stereotypes. People are oftentimes afraid of what they don't understand. You would think that people would learn from history and the mistakes that were made in the past. Edmund Burke summed it up in his quote, "All that's necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing."
