Tourism has been an ever-growing economy for England. Specifically internal tourism whereby people living within England travel to other areas to short breaks without the discomfort of flying or going abroad. Management of the tourists is in place, but can never totally control the situation. Locals are either pleased with the influx of money during peak season, or annoyed with the flood of people that embark to the Lake District.
